With almost two decades of experience in employment law, Kelli Hill guides employers in an array of issues involving claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation– workers’ unemployment claims and disputes—including those brought by independent contractors—and day to day advice on best practices.

Kelli develops strong relationships with those she represents and listens carefully to their priorities in order to tailor her advice accordingly. She works with them on the front end to craft, implement and review sensible employee handbooks and hiring, firing and leave policies and procedures that minimize their liability.

Working diligently to help keep clients comply with all relevant state and federal regulations and statutes, Kelli counsels on such laws as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Kelli understands that employers generally want to do the right things for employees to increase job satisfaction and retention, and she finds it gratifying to help clients identify practical solutions that avoid litigation and result in the employees keeping their positions and working productively. If litigation is ultimately the best choice to resolve conflicts, Kelli assembles the facts and creates strong, relatable narratives that connect with audiences from a range of backgrounds. Additionally, when situations warrant job terminations, Kelli ensures that the procedures are carried out in full compliance with the law.
