Dawson Welsh is an associate in the firm’s Litigation practice group. Dawson’s practice focuses on insurance defense, business litigation, property litigation, and local government.

Dawson earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2025, graduating in the top 10% of his class. While in law school, he earned the Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, and Drafting and was recognized for his academic excellence and commitment to mentorship and service.

During law school, Dawson was a published member of the Mercer Law Review and participated in the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and the Business, Bankruptcy, and Tax Law Association. He also served as a group mentor for first-year Contracts II and Torts courses and a second-year Evidence course, was a peer mentor to first-year law students across four semesters and worked as a research assistant for two semesters.

After Hours

Originally from Dalton, Georgia, Dawson enjoys board games, card games, and disc golf outside of the office. He is also an avid fan of Motorsports and the Star Wars franchise.
