Geoffery A. Peplau joined James Bates Brannan Groover LLP as an associate in the commercial litigation group in the fall of 2023. Geoff graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Minor in Business Law. Geoff then served four years in the United States Marine Corps as Sergeant (E-5), Combat Engineer, and Squad Leader. During his tenure with the Marine Corps, Geoff was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California and conducted multiple deployments abroad. During one of his deployments, Geoff worked as an adjunct professor for Central Texas College instructing Marines and Sailors amidst Geoff’s military operations.  

Following the Marine Corps, Geoff earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2023. While at Georgia State, Geoff received the CALI Award for Excellence and served as a Kaplan Bar Prep Student Representative, Business & Law Society member, and Environmental Law Society member.

Prior to joining James Bates Brannan Groover LLP, Geoff worked with staff attorneys at Atlanta Legal Aid on landlord, tenant, family law, probate cases, and victim protective orders. Geoff also worked as a legal intern to the Georgia General Assembly Senate President Pro Tempore during the 2021 special session.

After Hours

In his free time, Geoff enjoys exploring national parks, traveling abroad, hiking, and mountain biking.
