Focusing her practice on financial matters, Erin Woodside advises community banks and small businesses in a range of issues, including corporate formation and governance, securities and regulatory compliance, contract disputes and raising capital through private placements. Erin also counsels clients on creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and collections.

As the rules and laws that govern the financial services industry continue to evolve, she keeps updated on regulatory opinions and actions and informs clients about developments that could potentially affect their companies and institutions.

A very thorough researcher, Erin pays close attention to detail and enjoys the intellectual challenge of delving into novel and highly complex issues. With a love of writing and an academic background in linguistics and languages, Erin brings excellent communication skills to her practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Erin gained experience in various areas of law as an associate in a domestic relations litigation firm and as a law clerk for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit. While in law school, she was a summer associate for Jones Day in Frankfurt, Germany, and for the SEC Atlanta.

After Hours

Erin loves cooking and enjoys trying new restaurants in and around Athens, GA where she lives with her husband. She maintains a life-long interest in studying foreign languages and cultures through books and travel. She is an avid “Jeopardy” watcher and likes listening to audiobooks, podcasts and music, as well as reading in a variety of genres, especially history, classic mysteries and the latest thriller.
