Colin Daniels centers his practice on commercial real estate and commercial lending, including government-guaranteed lending. Advising banks, businesses, financial institutions, commercial landlords and real estate investors, Colin guides clients through a variety of transactions and loan closings. He finds it satisfying to play a role in helping projects come to fruition and enjoys seeing the results of his work in the form of new buildings, new businesses and new community enhancements.
With thoroughness and great attention to detail, Colin ensures that all due diligence has been completed correctly so his clients don’t have to worry about unpleasant surprises or obstacles that could potentially derail closings.
Colin gained in-depth knowledge of commercial lending and business finance while working as a credit analyst for United Community Bank. In this capacity, he worked with many businesses across a variety of industries and learned how each business operated, leading him to have a strong appreciation for the financial pressures and business concerns that keep business owners up at night. Colin’s current clients appreciate the knowledge and experience that he brings to understanding their companies and their perspectives.
During law school, Colin gained experience in a wide variety of legal matters. He resolved IRS issues as a student attorney with the Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic; assisted with landlord-tenant disputes for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer’s Foundation; and served as an extern with the Consumer Protection Division of the Georgia Attorney General’s Office. Colin was also an active member of the Student Trial Lawyers Association, where he honed his courtroom skills by competing in mock trials.
Colin and his wife, Carly, live in Atlanta and enjoy going to concerts, traveling and cheering on their alma-mater, the Georgia Bulldogs. Outside of the office, you can usually find Colin and his goldendoodle, Leo, enjoying a long walk on the Atlanta Beltline.
