JBBG is proud to announce the addition of attorney Christina Ling to the firm’s General Litigation practice group. Christina graduated magna cum laude from Kennesaw State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. After completing her undergraduate work, Christina attended Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. While attending law school, Christina was Chair of the Client Counseling Team and a member of the Association of Women Law Students, Mercer Advocacy Council, Older Wiser Law Students, Middle Georgia Association of Woman Lawyers, American Association for Justice, Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and the Junior League of Macon. Christina graduated from Mercer in 2021. Christina has experience in a wide range of matters in civil and criminal law. Prior to joining James Bates Brannan Groover LLP, the primary focus of Christina's practice was personal injury, civil litigation defense, bankruptcy, tax law, estate matters and contracts. JBBG is proud to announce the addition of attorney Joey Burtner to the firm’s Commercial and General Litigation practice groups. His practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation matters such as contracts, municipal government, and insurance defense. Prior to joining James Bates Brannan Groover LLP, Joey gained experience in a wide variety of legal matters. During Law School, he clerked for Chief Judge Howard Sims, earned a certificate in mediation, and assisted the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in applying for status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. James Bates Brannan Groover LLP is excited to have the knowledge, standards, and dedication that Joey brings to the team.
