Biography

Josh joined James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP as an associate in the summer of 2018. His practice focuses on estate planning including will and trust drafting, corporate and personal taxation planning strategies, and fiduciary administration. Josh counsels individuals, families and their advisors on developing traditional and sophisticated estate planning and wealth management solutions. Josh also is experienced with judicial and non-judicial trust modifications, reformations, and all aspects of trust administrations, will contests and disputed guardianship. In addition, he works with trustees, personal representatives, guardians, and beneficiaries in a wide variety of fiduciary issues, and assists them in their roles. Josh also provides families and individuals with long term care options, particularly enabling qualifications for Medicaid and Veterans Administration benefits.

Originally from Warner Robins, Georgia, Josh graduated from Georgia College and State University with a B.A. in English Literature in 2011. Josh then graduated cum laude from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 2016.

Josh presently serves as an officer for the Central Georgia Estate Planning Council and a board member for Volunteer Houston County. Josh and his wife, Lily, currently reside in Byron with their son, Ezra.
