Before attending law school, Christopher “Chris” earned his B.A. in Political Science from Valdosta State University in 2009. He then earned his JD, Cum Laude, from John Marshall Law School in 2012.

Prior to joining James Bates, Chris worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Oconee Judicial Circuit. Where he gained experience in white collar criminal defense and federal criminal defense cases. In addition, Chris was a professor at Middle Georgia State University and a Judge in Mcrae-Helena. He gained various perspectives of the legal field that he has since been able to apply to his practice. He has extensive courtroom experience, with an emphasis on complex jury trials. In addition, Chris’s legal practice focuses on insurance defense, liability defense, general litigation and commercial litigation.

After Hours

Chris currently resides in Kathleen, Georgia. Although most of his time is spent with his children, Chris also enjoys golfing, hunting and fishing.
