Mary Frances Dennis











Mary Frances Dennis joined James Bates Brannan Groover LLP in the summer of 2022 and is an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Transactional group.

Mary Frances obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2021. While attending law school, she served as a Dean’s Ambassador and as a research assistant to Professor Julian A. Cook. During her third year, Mary Frances also enjoyed serving as a teaching assistance to Professor Dan T. Coenen and as the Senior Notes Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Mary Frances gained experience in ethics, compliance and legal affairs while serving as a legal extern in the Office of General Counsel for a large public research university and institute of technology. Mary Frances also served as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia in 2019 and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina from 2017 to 2018.

Prior to attending law school, Mary Frances graduated cum laude from Furman University with a B.A. in political science. Mary Frances is originally from Augusta, Georgia and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
