D. Sarah Young











Sarah joined James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP as an associate in Summer of 2020.

Prior to joining James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP, Sarah worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office where she gained experience in a variety of cases including property crime, financial crime, elder abuse, and felony and misdemeanor traffic crimes. In addition, Sarah was a staff attorney for the Honorable David L. Mincey, III gaining experience in civil, criminal, and domestic matters.   

Sarah graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in Political Science in 2015. She then graduated Mercer University School of Law in 2018. While at law school she competed on three mock trial teams, served on the board of the Student Bar Association, became co-chair of the mock trial tryouts, and was a member of AWLS (Association of Women Law Students).

Sarah focuses her practice on all areas of general litigation. She has experience in criminal, civil, and domestic law.

Sarah grew up in Texas and then Carrollton, Georgia and currently resides here in Macon. She enjoys reading, true crime, game nights, good coffee, and UGA football.
