Biography

Marshall joined James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP as an associate in the fall of 2016.

Marshall is originally from Johns Creek, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy in 2013.

Marshall then graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2016. While attending law school, he served as the Managing Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and as a Dean’s Ambassador for the school. Marshall was very involved in UGA’s nationally ranked Moot Court program. During his first year, he was a quarterfinalist in the class-wide Richard Russell Moot Court Competition, earning automatic membership into the Moot Court program. He was also a quarterfinalist in the Eugene Talmadge Moot Court Competition, a semifinalist in the Georgia Young Lawyer’s Division Intrastate Moot Court Competition, and was selected to compete in the National Moot Court Competition. During his final year in law school, Marshall was selected as a Pupil in the Lumpkin Inn of Court, the oldest Inn of Court in the state of Georgia. He also participated in the UGA “HeLP” Clinic. Marshall also received the LSAC scholarship from UGA.

Marshall enjoys tennis, hiking, kayaking, fishing, camping and triathlons. While in law school, Marshall coached the Boys Tennis Team at Jackson County Comprehensive High School and helped the team achieve their first appearance in the GHSA State Championship Tournament in school history. Marshall is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Marshall currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
