Helping organizations address a wide range of legal, business and operational issues, Grant Greenwood advises clients on various employment and information privacy and security issues, among others. He counsels small and large clients in many industries, with a special concentration on healthcare providers and banking and financial institutions.

Grant considers himself to be his clients’ business partner, putting their best interests at the forefront of everything he does. Bringing a candid, straightforward approach to his client communications, he doesn’t tell those he represents what they want to hear, but rather what they need to hear. He views these collaborations as tools companies can use to grow their business and achieve their objectives and metrics. Grant is committed to being a good steward of client resources, and always mindful of opportunities to achieve client objectives efficiently.

Employers turn to Grant to handle complex contract negotiations and help them navigate an array of employment problems and crises, including terminations, allegations of discrimination, remote work issues and, increasingly, concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence on labor forces. He also represents them in investigations conducted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Grant provides counsel on matters involving the privacy and security of business data and personally identifiable information (PII), as well as data breaches. Clients rely on him to assist them with privacy compliance programs and incident response preparedness, tabletops and recovery. He draws on his deep familiarity with the HIPAA/HITECH privacy, security, and breach notification rules, GLBA, FERPA, and state data protection laws. In addition, Grant chairs the firm’s Data Privacy/Security Team.

Grant is also a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and is available to handle mediations and arbitrations in all manner of civil disputes.
